Free Take home Meals and Delivery
The Love Light Movement holds free meals each week where anyone can come grab to go box’s and take home free meals. These meals are held between the Piggly Wiggly and the Dollar General in The Plains Ohio. We set up and do these meals around three times a week.
If you are in need of food delivery, we can help with that as well. When available, we can deliver food to Athens, The Plains and Chauncey. Please note, if you have multiple people in your area that need assistance, we can pack up large “to-go” meals that can be dropped at one spot, and then distributed as needed by those who receive the meal. Please just let us know via text how many people the delivered meal will serve.
Food Donations: Businesses and Individuals
The Love Light Movement currently has relationships with several entities whom donate food to us to help serve the local population in Athens, Chauncey and The Plains. We are always looking for more food and new partners.
Why Donate:
- We are asking for help from restaurants and individuals located in the areas we serve. The food you donate will directly help your neighbors
- We are 100% volunteer, we do not keep administrative fees. All food and monetary donations are spent on supplies or directly feeding those who want assistance
- We pick up food on your schedule. We can do pickups as late as Midnight on most days
What is the Love Light Movement?
The Love Light Movement (LLM) is a movement of unconditional love and service to other beings. This movement operates out of a central belief that one of the key ways for finding true purpose in this life is through spreading love and being of service to other beings. At the core of everything this organization does is a simple question: How can we be of maximum service to other beings? This question gave rise to the services we now provide and will help us continue to constantly refine and add to what we do so that we may be of maximum service to all.
Become a Volunteer
The LLM is now working to provide service, love, and connection to other beings around Ohio. We are a new group who is very small in numbers and employees zero paid workers so volunteers are very important to us. If you are interested in the ideas of the LLM or just want to find ways you can be of help to others, and meet/connect with more people this may be the place for you
As a small group – we are very unstructured in that the volunteers may all end up knowing each other and each person can just help out whenever they want. There’s no commitment – if you want to help one day that’s great and if you don’t the next that’s totally fine!
General Assistance
One of the Love Light Service programs is the offering of assistance with any task/struggle one needs help with. This could really be anything – some examples include needing help moving stuff, needing someone to talk to about addiction or any other problem, needing help finding food or shelter, ect. If you need general assistance with any issue contact us and well see what we can do.
