About

Goodworks is a faith based non profit organization that helps spread love to people in Appalachia. The group works to help people experiencing homelessness and poverty, elderly people, and those who are housebound. They help provide housing, necessary appliances such as microwaves, fridges, cars, and provide home services to those in need. Goldworks also works to spread love to plants and the environment through gardens and nature preserves.

  • The Timothy House: Provides emergency shelter and support for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
  • Friday Night Life: Hosts a weekly community meal were everyone comes together connects and enjoys food.
  • Transformation Station: Offers a resource center where individuals can receive items like automobiles, bicycles, appliances, and food through a systems in which people have to volunteer with Goodworks a certain amount of times to earn certain items like cars, fridges, ect.
  • Neighbors Helping Neighbors: Groups come to assist seniors and individuals with disabilities by providing services to peoples homes and hanging out and connecting with the homeowners.
  • Summer Service: Welcomes volunteers for service projects, including assisting with housing repairs and community outreach.
  • Training for Life Computer Class: Provides computer training to enhance employment opportunities for individuals in need.
  • Senior Friends: Connects volunteers with senior citizens for regular visits, aiming to alleviate loneliness and provide companionship.
