Friends of the Shelter Dogs is a nonprofit supporting dogs at the Athens County Dog Shelter. They work to promote adoption, provide medical care and supplies, and enhance the well-being of shelter dogs. FOSD is run entirely by volunteers who advocate for humane treatment and permanent homes for every dog.

  • Walk and socialize shelter dogs

  • Assist with adoption events and fundraisers

  • Help with photography and marketing to promote adoptable dogs

  • Foster dogs in need of temporary homes
