About
The Cat Welfare Association works to rehome abandoned and homeless cats in Columbus Ohio. They are committed to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats, as well as providing lifelong care for those who cannot be adopted. Their mission is to ensure every cat has a chance to live a happy and healthy life.
Volunteer Opportunities
Socializing with cats: Volunteers get ample opportunities to play and connect with the cats at the shelter.
Cleaning: Every morning before the shelter opens to the public volunteers help get the shelter ready through cleaning out cat condos, sweeping & moping floors, emptying litter boxes, and feeding the cats.
Greeting: Some Volunteers may help greet people as they come into the shelter and also explain shelter rules, and hand out adoption applications. They may also help with crowd control when staff are helping other visitors.
